What organization are you from and what is your role?

Owner, Impact Events and Brand Management

What excites you about the future of your respective sector?

The opportunity and growth of the sector, the creativity of those building experiences for locals and visitors to the region.

Why is participating in the Advisory Committee important to you?

Engaging with people outside of my sector and having the ability to bring ideas relevant to my sector, learning the happenings of other sectors in our region while sharing experiences and knowledge with others about the sector that I represent. I have been doing what I have been doing for more than 20 years and have seen the growth of the region because I’m born, raised and choose to live, work and play here so have experienced growth but also note pain points in areas that we can grow and recognizing opportunities. Being an active voice around the table is important to me.

Why do you love living and working in the Okanagan?

I am born and raised in the Okanagan and love that we can be out in the community year-round that we are a diverse region with much to do regardless of your interests you will find that experience here. Being the entrepreneur capital of Canada is why I enjoy being one of the people in this category. Also very much appreciate that our community supports small local businesses (my business included) as much as possible.
